Registration Related

Candidates looking for Government Jobs, are required to participate in CPCT Assessment and get their score card. This score card will be referred by Government sector recruiters to evaluate their computer & key board proficiencies and allied skills.

Government of MP, by its order C 3 – 15/ 2014/1/3 dated 26 February 2015 has recognized Computer Proficiency & Certification Test (CPCT) as mandatory eligibility criteria for positions in various Government departments, where working knowledge of computers and typing skill are basic job requirements.

The test duration is 120 Minutes. The test will have two sections and both the sections are mandatory to attempt.

Section A: Computer Proficiency - This will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) of 75 minutes.

Section B: Typing Test – English Typing: 15 minutes and Hindi typing: 15 minutes.

The Candidate interested for appearing CPCT can register from the official CPCT website www.cpct.mp.gov.in. Registration steps to CPCT is as follows:

1. Register to create a Profile

2. Login with system generated User ID and Password.

3. Submit Application which includes filling details and making an online payment.

Upon creating a profile, candidate will receive a User ID and Password on the registered mobile number and email Id. Using these credentials candidate will be able to log in as an existing user to fill the detailed application form.

In the event of not receiving or losing the system generated password, simply click on Forget Password link on the Existing User login page, you will be prompted to enter your 10th or 12th Roll No and a Captcha srting, post this a password will be sent on your registered email address and on registered mobile number through SMS.

A Candidate who had applied for CPCT examination may request an EDIT Application facility. This facility will be provided to EDIT all the fields of Application form except from the fields referencing Candidate Name, Aadhaar Number, 10th Roll Number, 12th Roll Number, Date of birth, Exam Date, Preferred Exam Location.

This facility may be provided for 2-3 days’ post closure of application form as displayed on the Notice Board on CPCT Portal. Post this date; NO edit facility shall be provided.

All such applications must be accompanied by payment of fee on the CPCT Portal i.e. Rs. 50/- (Fifty only) per request.

Candidate who had applied for CPCT exam can edit his application form to change Keyboard Layout through EDIT Application facility.

This facility may be provided for 2-3 days’ post closure of application form as displayed on the Notice Board on CPCT

Portal. Post this date; NO edit facility shall be provided.

All such applications must be accompanied by payment of fee on the CPCT Portal i.e. Rs. 50/- (Fifty only) per request.

It is strongly advised to take a print out of the online submitted application form and keep the same for future reference. The candidate is also advised to keep his fee payment receipt which might be required by the commission in case of any discrepancy.

The available keyboard layout will be Remington Gail & Inscript in UNICODE



Exam Fee Related

Fee for appearing in CPCT is Rs. 660/- (Rs. Six Hundred Sixty only) inclusive of GST.

Following modes can be used for paying test fee.

1.PayGov & Bill Desk Payment Gateway - Online payment through payment gateways available on CPCT Portal (Net Banking/Credit/Debit Cards). In such cases the payment gateway/Net banking charges of respective bank will apply, as extra charge.

2.MP Online Kiosk - Facility to pay in Cash is available at MP-Online Kiosks by paying approved kiosk fee (refer CPCT portal) in addition to the prescribed test fee.

3.MP Online Citizen Payment Gateway - Online payment through citizen payment gateway available on MP Online Portal (Net Banking/Credit/Debit Cards). In such cases the payment gateway/Net banking charges of respective bank will apply, as extra charge.

Refunds, if applicable, at the discretion of management, will only be made to the internet Banking and debit/credit card used for the original transaction. For the avoidance of doubt nothing in this Policy shall require the CPCT Authorities to refund the Fees (or part thereof) unless such Fees (or part thereof) have previously been paid.



Test Center Related

Candidate is required to get the following documents:

1. Admit Card

2. Photo ID card as mentioned on your admit card.

The photo image and signature on both the Admit card and Photo ID card should be clear and legible. Candidates will not be allowed to take the test if he/she arrives at the examination centre without either of these two documents.

Candidates are required to report at the respective test centre at least 60 (sixty) minutes before the time specified for the commencement of test. In their own interest, candidate should ensure to reach the test centre on time to avoid losing the allotted test duration of 120 minutes. No candidate shall be allowed to enter the test centre after commencement of exam.

The Candidate can opt for the city of his/her choice as per list of computer based exam cities at the time of filling application form only.



Miscellaneous

The CPCT exam is being held approximately in every two months, tentative exam dates are pre-declared in portal. Depending upon the availability of examination centres, the Tentative or declared exam dates may be changed/extended due to any circumstances and/or as per management decisions. The same shall be informed with an appropriate medium.

The Help Desk would be operational between 8.00 am to 11.00 pm on all weekdays (including Sundays) except on Nationalized Bank holidays. If the CPCT is held on the day of Nationalized Bank holiday the Help desk would be operational.

Help desk support by the executives would be provided in English and Hindi language. The query and complaint can be registered at helpdesk number or online from CPCT portal.

The CPCT score card is valid for Seven years from the date of score card.

Mock test facility will be available on the CPCT portal to familiarize candidates with the CPCT pattern, test screen interfaces, typing test interface etc. This will also enable them to practice typing test. The pattern of Mock test interface would be a replica of the test screen that will be available for the candidates at test centre. The purpose of mock test is only to provide an opportunity to the candidate to make him/ herself familiar with actual test interface.

You will be allowed to leave the examination hall only on completion of 120 minutes. Even if you would have attempted all questions before the set time, the Submit button will be enabled only after test duration. You are expected to remain seated till the invigilator instructs all candidates to leave.

There may be a chance where candidate will be unable to attend the Test on allotted date and allotted test centre. In such case the candidate have to apply with fresh application process.

Once the payment is successfully done and candidate is scheduled for the test, the Admit Card would be generated online and available in candidate’s login till the day of exam. A print out should be taken and shall be produced at the candidate's allotted examination centre.
